Pro-Walker Rally Massive PR Nightmare

Milwaukee --On Saturday, a "massive" pro-Walker rally took place at Hart Park in Wauwatosa Wisconsin. The heavily publicized spectacle was promoted on news outlets across the state. Fox6now, Journal Sentinel, WISN, WKOW and many other mainstream news sources opined a massive gathering in support for their beloved governor.
However as you can see from the picture, a meager crowd converged at Hart Park in Wauwatosa. GOP celebrities used to lure this anemic group of followers included high-profile names such as Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, Alberta Darling, Leah Vukmire, Van Wanggaard, Glenn Grothman, State Representative Robin Vos, State Treas. Kurt Schuler, State Rep. David Craig, State Rep. Jeff Stone, and political activist Kim Simac.
The list of elected officials attending the event almost dwarfed supporters in the crowd and the headlines following the event were no better. Fox6now and many others released such headlines of "Hundreds Attend Walker Rally" and after clicking on the story you'd see "Thousands attend Pro-Walker Rally", so I'm not sure what to make of that other than that it was a poorly edited press release from the governor’s office.
Outside the "Massive" event, Walker Recall supporters walked the "bulging barriers" carrying signs opposing the unpopular governor. Crowd estimates tweeted by one protestor eloquently claimed "I've seen more people gathered at a high-school garage party".
As usual, Scott Walker was nowhere to be found. He did send his wife Tonnette in his place. At the time of this posting we can neither confirm nor refute that Walker was out of state fundraising, but given his history, it is a possibility. Later, the Walker spin team busily looked for ways portray this calamity as a success by stating:
"This was organized on Facebook and thousands showed up". While the event may have been organized online, it was also promoted by just about every news outlet in the state; still at best, 1,000 people was all that came out to support Scott Walker.
We've attempted to verify Walker supporter’s figures of 4,000 in attendance, but, every crowd photo or video gives a narrow view of the size and scope of the crowd. The photos remind me of when you are about to have a family photo taken and the cameraman says "Okay, now everyone get closer together, Say Recall ". It's no wonder main stream news is not still talking about it today.
